A certificate of appreciate for Bishvilaych

As part of International Women’s Healthy day, the Knesset held an event in recognition of social organizations working to promote women’s health. The event, which was held in cooperation with the Israel Medical Association, was chaired by MK Shuli Mualem-Refaeli, and attended by the Minister of Health, MK Rabbi Yaakov Litman, the Speaker of the Knesset, MK Yuli Yoel Edelstein, and the Chairman of the Medical Association, Dr. Leonid Eidelman.

presented the award to Bishvilaych, citing that Bishvilaych was the only organization promoting women’s health in the Ultra Orthodox community.

Among the recipients of the certificates was Bishvilaych: The Evelyn Barnet Women’s Health Center, during which MK Shuli Mualem-Refaeli, chairman of the Jewish Home Party faction, noted that “The Bishvilaych Center is a unique organization that combines prevention and women’s health” MK Mualem-Refaeli added “in its 12 years of existence, the center has worked to raise awareness of women’s health through a medical clinic, and to run unique community projects among thousands of ultra-orthodox/religious women through the country. In fact, this is the only organization that deals with the health of ultra-orthodox women.”

The certificate was received by Sara Siemiatycki, founder and director of the organization. She was accompanied by Dr. Diana Dlesher, Dr. Tzipora Wolff, and Dr. Joyce Morel, the organization’s clinic staff, the organizations lawyer, Jane Olman, and board member Mrs. Miriam Mishkovsky.

Ms. Sara Siemiatycki said that the significance of the Certificate of Appreciation does not amount to the approval and commendation of the organization’s activities; “for me, this is mainly an incentive which demonstrates the magnitude of the responsibility that is imposed on us, as we advance the health of Haredi women,” she noted.
